Lisa Nipp is a free-lance photographer in Washington, D.C. She has worked as a staff photographer at five newspapers in the United States and Europe, covering a wide range of stories, including the war in Kosovo, a presidential campaign and the NFL. Her most recent job was at the Tennessean in Nashville.

Since moving to Washington in 2003 she has shot for a variety of editorial clients, including USA TODAY, Newsday, the Chicago Tribune, the Dallas Morning News, the Sacramento Bee and the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Her corporate clients include Dell Computer, the History Channel, Hyundai, Columbia University and the Navy League of the United States.

Lisa is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and has a Master's degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Journalism. She has taught courses in documentary photography as an adjunct professor at the American University in Bulgaria and at Nashville State Technical Institute, and led workshops at Art Workshops Guatemala.

She has won numerous awards for her work from the National Press Photographers' Association, the Associated Press, and the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.
